BHQ-LABEL ! Why?
In October 2002
there was finally an answer to the question of tattoo artists
and body piercers if the government could develop a legislation
or stand in for hygiene check- ups in the sector.
After hard work and
many meetings, different professional organisations
(Tattoo,piercing, beauty specialists
,jewellers , consumer organisations
and the government) joined to form a
‘code of good practice’ for everyone concerned.
The shops who follow this code and therefore allow unexpected
check-ups by qualified doctors, will receive the ‘Belgian
Hygiene Quality Label’ and customers will have it easier to make
a difference between a good Tattoo and/or Piercing shop which
follow the code and shops who don’t care about hygiene or your
safety as a customer.
